There are many resources, books and articles available on the web for those interested, and this section is not aimed at providing either the basic theory or references for those interested in learning about Schema Therapy.

This section is focussed on resources that we have found particularly useful as key references in deepening our understanding of key schema therapy theory, techniques and ideas.

This will also be where links to resources used in Journal Club are posted for ease of access.

Using Schema Modes for Case Conceptualization in Schema Therapy: An Applied Clinical Approach.

Extremely useful reference article that outlines a great deal of additional modes, as well as cover mode sequences, blended modes and backstage vs frontstage modes. Valuable resource to make sense of what one is seeing in a session with a client, and in developing a formulation with regards to the suit of modes that is active in the room.

Understanding Psychological Problems in terms of Schemas and Schema Modes: A Guide for Clients to Conceptualization and Treatment Planning in Schema Therapy.

Although written as a guide for clients, it is a quick and easy reference to the basics of schema therapy, covering early maladaptive schemas, the different schema clusters and understanding the modes. Generally a good refresher to read after the training, as well as for those new to schema therapy.
